~“I think that they should call a cheese grater by its real name...a sponge ruiner.”~

I’m not much of a kitchen gadget kind of girl.  For the most part, I gaze at them in puzzlement thinking, huh, wonder what you’d use that for?  Well, the answer is, I wouldn’t.  I like to keep my time in the kitchen brief.  Open the bottle of wine, snag a piece of cheese, and be on my way.  There are a couple of kitcheny things that I’m really glad that I have around though, and I do use (aside from the bottle opener).  Especially since they keep my time in there brief.

First we have this:

corer1

I LOVE him, because he does this:

cored apple

And then there’s this:

tray2

Which I think is a much more attractive alternative to picking up one of those precut fruit in plastic tray things at the grocery store on the way to where ever you’re going (less expensive too).  Yes, maybe I’ve done that a time or two.  Not anymore.

These babies get my hiney out of the kitchen and in front of a glass of wine in minutes.  Very convenient, since where I work, there is always something or other going on involving food (no complaints here), but I don’t always have the time or inclination to cook.  The only problem is that now I want a prettier serving tray. . .
